Some people enjoy careers where they are working indoors, such as office settings or in retail. Others get bored easily and need to have more freedom, and don’t want to have to see the same old walls every day. Often, these are the people who end up driving the big rigs. They get to have a good paying career they love, and they get paid to travel all across North America.

In order to become CDL Drivers Minnesota, there are certain requirements that people must meet. For instance, one must be a minimum of 17 years of age to be able to obtain a license to drive a vehicle that weighs 26,000 pounds and over. To drive a truck of this size that is hauling 10,000 pounds or more in weight, or to drive vehicles that transport 15 people or more, drivers must be 18 years old. If the driver will be hauling hazardous materials, they must be 21 years of age or older.

In order to be able to get a Commercial Driver License (CDL), one must have a valid Minnesota driver’s license. They must have truck driver training, and pass written and road tests, which can often take a few tries to pass. There are different CDL classes and endorsements, depending on the type of driving one plans to be doing. Once the proper tests are passed, drivers can apply for work through Montu Staffing Solutions.

Before one can become CDL Drivers in Minnesota, they must apply for a learner’s permit. This will allow them to be able to drive on the road while taking their trucking training. No one without a permit will be able to receive a CDL. There are three classes of CDL, and a test is required in order to get a license for each class. A Class A license is for drivers of vehicles that with the truck and trailer combined, weigh 26,000 pounds or more. A Class B license is for a vehicle without a trailer that weighs 26,000 pounds or more. A Class C license is for vehicles that weigh less than 26,000 pounds.
