Discover New Era Printing with 3D Printer Kits

Are you ready to explore the world of 3D printers and all they have to offer? Are you the DIY type who wants to put it together yourself? Then 3D printer kits may be just the thing you’re looking for. The best thing about 3D printer kits is that you can build the exact type and size you want, based on what types of artifacts you’re going to print, and of course how big (or small) your budget is.

When you purchase a 3D printer kit, you will have everything you need to make your own printer. Whether you want it for school, work or home, you’ll find a variety of artifacts to print and the possibilities are virtually endless. Even though it’s a DIY project, these printers are every bit as powerful as those that come already assembled.

If your budget is limitless (and really, in this day and age, who has a limitless budget?) then a kit vs. an assembled 3D printer is much more economical. The challenge is trying to decide which kit is best for your needs.

Here are some things to consider when buying 3D printer kits:

1. Connectivity: most printers use USB connections along with a computer to print an object. Some use wireless or Ethernet connectivity. Some printers are equipped with a USB port or card slot, so you don’t have to rely on an external computer in order to print.

2. LCD display: Most printers now come with a visual display so you can always be informed about what the printer is doing; i.e. printing progress, etc. Some even have colored LED lights to make the printer even more exciting!

3. Camera: this can be a useful feature for monitoring your printings. Typically, the camera is accessible through a mobile device or computer so you can keep an eye on your printing projects and even take a picture of the completed object.

4. Automatic material recognition: your printer will be able to automatically recognize the type of material it’s using. Depending on the filament you’re using, it will show ABS, PLA or other material. This is not a ‘must-have’ but it certainly counts as a ‘nice-to-have’ feature.

5. Aesthetics: while the performance of a printer is certainly not based on looks, it’s nice to have something in your office, classroom or home that doesn’t look like something straight out of a science fiction film. Many printers today have evolved to be more aesthetically pleasing.
